Fariboles Productions : exceptional craftsmanship

At Fariboles Productions, each figurine is the fruit of meticulous work, entirely handcrafted in our Normandy workshop.

We're one of the few companies to carry out every stage of production under the same roof, from start to finish.
From the birth of the idea to the final packaging, every detail is shaped on site, guaranteeing exceptional quality and consistency to our creations.

Since 1993, we've been bringing comic-book and manga heroes to life, combining passion, creativity and craftsmanship.
Discover the steps that make each piece unique.

Birth of the project

It all starts with an idea.

We select the character according to our licenses and creative desires.

This phase of reflection is crucial: we have to imagine the ideal posture, often inspired by comic strip boxes, and think of the most faithful and expressive way to represent the hero.

Taking the time to capture the essence of the character is essential before moving on to the next stage.

Sculpture

Once the character has been chosen, the sculpting begins.

Our artists strive to capture every detail, every emotion, to make the character as lifelike as possible.

We model the general shapes, then refine them until we have a detailed prototype.

This stage consists in bringing the character to life, while scrupulously respecting its proportions, gestures and codes.

Each sculpture is submitted for approval to the licensors before being cast. To guarantee optimum production, the sculpture is cut into several pieces, ready for the next stages.

Molding

Once the sculpture has been validated, we design the silicone molds that will faithfully reproduce each resin figurine.

This process is key to ensuring that each piece conforms to the original and retains the precision and quality required.

Sanding

After molding, each part must be carefully prepared. This begins with meticulous degreasing and sanding to remove all traces of the molding, such as joint planes, bubbles or imperfections.

This meticulous work results in a smooth, impeccable surface, ready for painting.

Painting

Painting is the stage that really brings the figurine to life.

We use an airbrush to apply the large flat areas of color. And it's thanks to the fine paint, applied with a brush, that every detail comes to life: facial features, expressions and the little elements that give characters their personality.

At Fariboles, we opted for a matte finish, because it's the closest we can get to the look of our heroes as they appear on paper in the comics. Matte also catches the light better and highlights the volumes.

This powdery, velvety finish has become the Fariboles signature, recognized by collectors the world over. Some figurines can feature satin or glossy touches to accentuate certain elements, while maintaining the elegance that characterizes us.

Assembly

Assembling a figurine is a real puzzle. Piece by piece, our craftsmen proceed with extreme meticulousness, respecting a precise order to guarantee perfect assembly.

Each figurine is unique, and each assembly requires unrivalled care and precision, whether starting with the head or the feet.

Packaging

Before leaving the workshop, each figurine undergoes a final, meticulous inspection.
It is then delicately placed in its box, accompanied by its certificate of authenticity.

This careful packaging ensures that the figurine arrives in perfect condition, ready to join your collection.
